To spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, a group of youngsters in Lima, Peru began the viral marketing campaign to end all others — tagging real life people, without their knowledge, with stickers that say “you may be a carrier and not even know it”.
Unsuspecting suckers become walking billboards.In this case the cause is beneficial to society, but generally I don’t like walking advertising. Still, this is sure to be effective. The only ill side-effective I can see is the phenomena of when the person with the sticker gets home, takes of his shirt, and then proceeds to freak out! Talk about planting a seed of suspicion.
