Drexel University, my bittersweet Alma Mater, prides itself on being innovative with technology. They call themselves a ‘technological University’, whatever that means. And while their home page remains crap and hard to navigate, I found they have created a really slick system for showing student work.
The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design (formerly CoMAD, formerly CoDA) now features student portfolios, on a well-built and easy-to-use interface. Very handy for browsing the volume of student brickerbrack.
A lot of this work is really brilliant and makes me somewhat jealous. I wish they had a system like this when I was in school. (And I kinda wish I had studied Graphic Design, but that’s another story). Have a look at the site, might be useful for some inspiration.
