Quark, the software package we love to hate, has debuted another new logo – mainly in response to their first new logo, which was rubbish.
As I mentioned earlier, Quark has become synonymous with a company that has failed to innovate and has become somewhat of a sore spot in the (print) design profession today.
The other day I was on an interview, and you should have seen the look on the woman’s face when I told her I prefer InDesign. Quark vs. InDesign is the new Republican vs. Democrat (respectively!).
If you follow the logic that “any publicity is good publicity”, then Quark’s new logo debut is a success, but I have the feeling this will prove to be a whole lot of nothing, and is only prolonging the inevitable.
