With the exception of American tourists and those in search of shady sex-for-hire encounters, people don’t really use Britain’s famous phone boxes. With mobile phones so prevalent, city managers are puzzles as to how to re-purpose the iconic pieces of design that have come to symbolise Britain itself.
How about a library? With the phone gone, it’s the perfect place for shelves and books. Townsfolk line up and swap in for something else.
