Rumours are being floated about Apple preparing to set up shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. They are, of course, just rumours as the building in question is currently occupied by the Salvation Army.
Being a Williamsburg resident, it would be massively convenient to have an Apple Store within walking distance. Not to mention a clean, public bathroom on the corner of North 7th and Bedford Ave.
Apple has, in the past, used their stores as social venues. I wonder if they would seek to capitalise on the neighborhood by hosting indy bands and serving Pabst Blue Ribbon, or maybe having Guitar Hero night. Maybe some kind of “what’s on your iPod” singles night.
